UberCPM.Com Review
If you own a website or a blog that gets a decent enough traffic, monetizing it can work well as a passive income. You will anyways be updating your blog if you are serious about it, will work hard towards making it popular, will spend time trying to attract more visitors to it so it doesn’t really hurt if you can start earning a little money in exchange of all your efforts. As your website grows, your income too will grow. It of course cannot be something that you can live your life off lavishly unless you own an extremely popular website with a great readership but a little money on the side can never really hurt.
The most popular website advertisement in my opinion is the CPM model. CPM stands for “Cost per thousand”. The “M” here represents the Roman numeral for thousand. Under this model, you get paid for the number of times an ad appeared on your website, irrespective of whether anyone clicked on it or not. So for example, if the cost of an ad is $1 CPM, the advertiser must pay $1 for every 1,000 impressions of its ad, or in simple words, $1 for every 1,000 times the ad appeared. So how does it work on your blog or website? It is quite simple enough actually. When a reader loads your page, the ad will appear so 1,000 page views will mean 1,000 ad impressions. The CPM cost depends on the ad and the advertiser so the cost you get paid for 1,000 impressions can also vary.
There are several ad networks that pay on CPM basis and ever since I started monetizing my blog, I have tried several of them. One such CPM network that I tried was UberCPM and this is a short review of how I found their services to be.
What is UberCPM?
UberCPM.Com is an online ad network agency based out of Canada. It claims to be one of the highest paying CPM ad networks for publishers. As per their website, they are a non-adult banner advertising network sharing 80% of their revenues with their publishers. Some of their other claims are that they aim to simply advertising network, work with only good advertisers, provide high quality ads resulting in higher revenues. Are any of these claims actually true? We will get to that later in this article.
Let us first cover some of the basic stuff first.
- Network Type: CPM
- Ad Formats: Banner Ads
- Minimum Payout: $10
- Payment Frequency: Net 30
- Payment Methods: PayPal, Wire Transfer
- Referral Program: Yes, 10% referral commission
- Website URL: https://ubercpm.com
Their ad formats are pretty much the same as any other agency will provide. They are a banner advertising network offering banners in the size of 160X600, 300X250, 300X600, 320X50, 728X90 and 120X600 thin tower. Payment terms are Net 30 and choices are either PayPal or a wire transfer.
The only good part about Ubercpm is their instant approval policy, low payout threshold and higher share of revenues. In order to sign up, just go to their website, fill up a small enough form, follow the link sent to your email address and voila, you are done. You can now just log in to your UberCPM dashboard, start generating ad units and in their words “start earning”. Their payment threshold is $10 which I think is the lowest among all ad agencies. They claim to share 80% of their revenues with publishers which definitely puts them among the highest payers. We will revisit these points again towards the end of this article to validate these.
Now let us come to the bad or maybe reality part. I fell for all these claims and decided to give these guys a try. In the next few weeks, when their ads were running on my blog, below is what I found out.
- Totally irrelevant ads: I believe the terms contextual ads is unknown to these guys. If you go through my blog, you will notice that one thing that is not there on this website anywhere is dating or matrimony related material. However, the entire time I was running Ubercpm ads, the only ad appearing on my website was of a matrimonial website in India.
- Will stop recording impressions: For some of these days, while my website was getting the regular traffic and their ads were on, they weren’t just recording and counting anymore. My dashboard showed zero ad impressions for those days. I also have an AdSense account and while Google recorded all the ads, UberCPM showed zero.
- Unsafe Ads: Several times their ads were simply redirection to malware sites or adult pop up ads. Totally unsafe and unsuitable. Take a look at the link below where people are facing the same problem and asking the same question about their ads.

- Low Impression count: I will again compare this with Google Adsense. Several times, my AdSense ad count will match my total page views but UberCPM’s ad count will be at least 10 times lower. When asked, I was told that they do not count BOT traffic and hence the low impression count. So what are you saying then, Google counts BOT traffic? Totally ridiculous.
- Bad Pay Outs: This is the biggest reason. While they claim that they are among the highest payers, their CPM rates are probably the worst in the market. They will not even pay you 1 cent for 1000 or more impressions. Below is a proof of my UberCPM dashboard and some other that I found on the web.
This one is my dashboard. The two below are someone else’s dashboard that I found images of on the web.

Below is a link to discussion thread on Digitalpoint.com started by a guy from UberCPM himself. He simply stopped responding to people’s queries after they started pointing out all the issues that I mentioned above.

Their own actions conflict with their statements. Revisiting the three points I mentioned about them earlier, If you really only work with good publishers, why would you approve any account instantly? Wouldn’t you first review the website after receiving the application? Their threshold would of course have to be $10 because even making $10 with this company would be like climbing Everest with such low CPM. It would take an entire lifetime to make $50 or $100 with this company. They say they are a non-adult advertising agency but their ads redirect to adult websites.
My final verdict would be that UberCPM is a really bad choice and I would advise that you avoid this agency like plague. Try Google AdSense and if you are unable to get accepted by them, try some other advertising network but stay away from UberCPM.
Update: It would seem that now UberCPM has started to register their publishers to another online advertising agency. I have not personally tried it (because I am done with UberCPM) but after reading around a few reviews at the links below, after you register at UberCPM.Com, they would send you an email stating that your account has been identified as a VIP publisher and you should register with their premium partner, advertiseworld.com. The payout rate at advertiseworld is quite lucrative and after you start publishing their ads, you will notice a sudden increase in revenue. Please be advised though that this is another scam that UberCPM is trying to pull. They will let you run the ads for a couple of months and continue delaying the payment. Upon following up, you will get ridiculous replies stalling the payment which finally you will never receive. They will find some reason (most common one is that you are sending BOT traffic) to ban your account and never pay you
Another such scam company that seems to be related to UberCPM.Com is UberAds.com which pretty much share the same story as Advertiseworld.Com. Please avoid registering with either of these three agencies and find a better one that actually pays.
